Michael Esswood began his professional acting career with Shared Experience, and several other theatre companies at the Riverside Studios in London (including The Royal Lyceum and The National Theatre). About this time, he started his screen career by acting in filmmaking training courses for directors, led by Charles Sturridge and Stephen Frears (National Film and Television School), before appearing in ITV's The Bill. Several well-paid commercials and frequent ground-breaking NHS Clinical Communication role-play work followed, and continues to pay the bills!
In the last year, Michael has appeared in leading roles in the web-series 'Modern Life' and the feature film 'The Northern Paradigm'. Hollywood most recently beckoned him and he is now (complete with with a US accent) in the Blade Runner 2049 - "2048: Nowhere To Run" film.
He enjoys singing in pubs, by the piano with friends - with some of whom he has supported Madness and The Libertines at Alexander Palace, London.
