Our books are currently open for new applications, although we are especially interested in hearing from Global Majority actors of all ages.
Please check our current membership profiles and consider what differences in casting types or skills you can offer.
Membership requirements
Co-op agencies are supportive, collaborative environments and joining one can be a hugely rewarding experience, however it isn’t for everyone. So, it’s important to understand the commitment involved before applying.
As well as being an actor, every member of CCM also works as an agent for around 2 days (4 x ½ day shifts) per month. Office shifts are done remotely and are chosen by yourself to fit around your schedule.
As an agent, your role will include (full training provided):
Submitting actors for roles on platforms such as Spotlight
Fostering relationships with Casting Directors
Negotiating contracts and performance fees
Invoicing
Scouting new talent
Members are also required to attend monthly meetings to discuss and vote on agency business.
Applications process
If you'd like to join CCM, please email casting@ccmactors.com or contact us with the following:
A short covering letter explaining why you'd like to join a co-op agency, and what you feel you can bring to our team
A link to your Spotlight CV, showreel, voicereel, and any other work that you feel supports your application
Please note: we can only consider actors who are on Spotlight.
Auditioning for CCM
After our members have considered your application, you may be asked to audition. This process includes two stages:
Self tape - which will be viewed and voted on by our members
Zoom interview - with two or more members
We’ll keep you updated with how your application is progressing and we’ll also let you know should we decide not to take it further.
Becoming a member
If your audition is successful, you’ll be invited to join the agency as a trainee. You can only become a full member, after a three month probationary period, if you demonstrate that you have the knowledge and skills to work in the office as an actors' agent. For a fee of £50, to cover administrative costs, CCM offers training to give you these skills. If you continue to full membership, it is anticipated this will be refunded within your first year, in line with CCM’s commitment to use profits to advance members' careers.
Note that by submitting your application to CCM, you are consenting to the collection and storage of your personal information by CCM. This will be used solely for the administrative processing of your application by CCM and never passed to any third parties, in accordance with the GDPR guidelines.
